Course Notes 26.09.24

After top dressing we always welcome some rain to wash in the sand...though 4 inches in 48 hours was perhaps a little too much! That said, the course was able to soak it up pretty well and despite the brook on the 9th overflowing on Monday, only a few surface puddles remained on Tuesday.

After we receive heavy rain can those with trolleys ensure they are keeping well away from greens and surrounds - as a guide, 10 yards would be great.

Buggy users should be driving in the rough or on paths at all times of the year and avoid the approaches entirely.

Following last week's email regarding the 5th penalty area, the red stakes are now in place. Over the Autumn and Winter we hope to undertake some tree work on the area to improve airflow and reduce shading to the 5th green. This will also help the sightline for those having to take a drop in the penalty area. Through the A/W we will refresh other penalty area stakes.
